Die Struktur des Prototype Funds

Das Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) stellt die finanziellen Mittel bereit, durch die der Prototype Fund Projekte fördern kann, und finanziert die Arbeit des Teams des Prototype Funds bei der Open Knowledge Foundation (OKF).

Das BMBF fördert den Prototype Fund, mit Unterstützung des DLR Projektträgers, als ein Projekt der Unterabteilung Künstliche Intelligenz (Förderkennzeichen 01IS16021).

Hier findet ihr die ursprüngliche Bekanntmachung (2016), die erste Änderung (2017) und die zweite und letzte Änderung (2020).

Die Kommunikation im Rahmen der Förderung erfolgt über den Projekttäger und nicht direkt mit dem Ministerium.

DLR Projektträger (DLR-PT)

Der DLR Projektträger ist Teil des Deutschen Zentrums für Luft- und Raumfahrt e.V. und übernimmt im Auftrag des BMBF die Umsetzung der Fördermaßnahme.

Das Team des DLR-PT organisiert und verwaltet die Förderung auf fachlcher und administrativer Ebene.

Ihr habt daher jeweils zwei Ansprechpartner*innen beim DLR-PT, an die ihr euch bei fachlichen Fragen, wie der Umsetzung von Auflagen, und administrativen Fragen, z. B. zu Abrechnungen, wenden könnt. Wichtig: Administrative Veränderungen wie z. B. Umzüge sollten bis zum Erhalt des Schlussbescheides an eure*n DLR-PT-Ansprechpartner*in gemeldet werden.

Prototype Fund / OKF

Das Team Prototype Fund begleitet euch im Alltag während der Förderzeit, ist für die Begleitforschung zuständig und kümmert sich um die Kommunikation über den Fund. Der Prototype Fund ist eines der Projekte unter dem Dach der Open Knowledge Foundation Deutschland e. V.

Eure Ansprechpartnerinnen beim Prototype Fund sind (außer für administrative Fragen) eure Projektbetreuerinnen Marie und Francesca.

The structure

BMBF

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) provides the financial resources that allow the Prototype Fund to fund projects and finances the work of the Prototype Fund team at OKF.

The BMBF is funding the Prototype Fund with support from the DLR Projektträger (Project Mangement Agency), as a project of its Artificial Intelligence subdivision, under the grant number 01IS16021.

You can find the original announcement (2016), the first amendment (2017), and the second and last amendment (2020) here.

Communication regarding the funding takes place through the DLR Projektträger and not directly with the ministry.

DLR Projektträger (DLR-PT)

The DLR Projektträger (Project Management Agency) is part of the German Aerospace Center e.V. and is responsible for implementing the funding measure on behalf of the BMBF.

The DLR-PT team organizes and manages the funding on both scientific and administrative levels.

Therefore, you have two contact persons at the DLR-PT for technical questions, such as the implementation of requirements ("Auflagen"), and administrative questions, such as invoicing. It is important to note that administrative changes, such as relocations, should be reported to your DLR-PT contact person until the receipt of the final notification (“Schlussbescheid”).

Prototype Fund / OKF

The Prototype Fund team accompanies you in your daily tasks during the funding period, is responsible for the accompanying research and takes care of the communication about the fund. The Prototype Fund is one of the projects under the umbrella of the Open Knowledge Foundation Germany.

Your contact persons at the Prototype Fund (except for administrative questions) are your program managers Marie and Francesca.
