Die Struktur des Prototype Funds

Das Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) stellt die Gelder bereit, mit denen der Prototype Fund Projekte fördern kann und finanziert die Arbeit des Team Prototype Fund bei der OKF.

Das BMBF fördert den Prototype Fund mit Unterstützung des Projektträgers DLR, als ein Projekt der Unterabteilung Künstliche Intelligenz, unter dem Förderkennzeichen 01IS16021.

Hier findet ihr die ursprüngliche Bekanntmachung (2016), die erste Änderung (2017) und die zweite und letzte Änderung (2020).

Im Rahmen der Förderung müsst ihr nicht direkt mit dem Ministerium kommunizieren.

DLR

Das Deutsche Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR) ist der Projektträger (kurz: PT) des Prototype Fund. Das DLR-Team organisiert und verwaltet die Förderung auf administrativer Ebene.

Ihr habt auch direkte Ansprechpartner*innen beim DLR, an die ihr euch bei administrativen Fragen, z. B. zu Abrechnungen, wenden könnt. Wichtig: Administrative Veränderungen wie z. B. Umzüge sollten bis zum Erhalt des Schlussbescheides an eure*n DLR-Ansprechpartner*in gemeldet werden.

Prototype Fund / OKF

Das Team Prototype Fund begleitet euch im Alltag während der Förderzeit, ist für die Begleitforschung zuständig und kümmert sich um die Kommunikation über den Fund. Der Prototype Fund ist eines der Projekte unter dem Dach der Open Knowledge Foundation Deutschland e. V.

Eure Ansprechpartnerinnen beim Prototype Fund sind (außer für administrative Fragen) eure Projektbetreuerinnen Marie und Francesca.

The structure

BMBF

The Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) provides the financial resources that allow the Prototype Fund to fund projects and finances the work of the Prototype Fund team at OKF.

The BMBF is funding the Prototype Fund with support from the DLR Projektträger (the German equivalent of a project carrier), as a project of its Artificial Intelligence subdivision, under the grant number 01IS16021.

You can find the original announcement (2016), the first amendment (2017), and the second and last amendment (2020) here.

You do not need to communicate directly with the ministry as part of the funding.

DLR

The German Aerospace Center (Deutsche Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt) is the project carrier (in German “Projektträger” or “PT”) of the Prototype Fund. The DLR team organizes and manages the funding at the administrative level.

You have direct contact persons at DLR whom you can turn to for administrative questions, e.g. about invoicing. Important: Administrative changes such as relocations should be reported to your DLR contact person during your funding time and until you have gotten your official closing notice (“Schlussbescheid”).

Prototype Fund / OKF

The Prototype Fund team accompanies you in your daily tasks during the funding period, is responsible for the accompanying research and takes care of the communication about the fund. The Prototype Fund is one of the projects under the umbrella of the Open Knowledge Foundation Germany.
