# '''Procedure''': According to the General Conditions for Grants on a Cost Basis from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (NKBF 2017), the grant recipients are obligated to publish the final report in the TIB. The TIB serves as a repository for final reports of projects supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and makes them available to the professional audience. The DLR-PT receives the reports in electronic form and, after content approval, sends them in consolidated form to the TIB.

# '''Format''': The digital original version of the final report is to be submitted to the DLR-PT (no scans). Documents should be submitted in a '''machine-readable and searchable data format'''. The electronic document should '''not be password-protected''', as this makes digital long-term archiving impossible, among other reasons. The '''target size of the file should be <1MB'''. To facilitate file identification, the '''funding code''' should be included in both the report and the file names.
After the completion of the funding period, the '''final report ("Schlussbericht")''' is to be submitted to the Projektträger along with a so-called statement of use ("Verwendungsnachweis"). The Deadline for all documents is one month after the funding ends.
# '''Open Source Availability''': The final report must include a link to the code created during the funding period. The code must remain available under an open-source license even after the funding period ends! Also, remember to separately provide the link to the code to your program managers. Any changes to the code link after the funding period should also be communicated to the program managers.
