(English version below)

In English

During the Second Stage, the focus is no longer on the technical work. The explicit aim of this funding is to bring more projects into sustainable use. The Second Stage is therefore more about the distribution and improved usability or the financial security of the project and less about the technical development of the software.

The key facts:

  • In the Second Stage, coaching sessions are mandatory and must be completed between December and March.
  • In addition to Superbloom, there are other coaching partners specializing in various topics, such as startup funding or security.
  • Two coaching sessions on two different topics are scheduled for each project.
  • The length of a coaching session varies depending on the coaching partner, but generally consists of 3–4 hours of direct coaching. This means you’ll receive an estimated 6-8 hours of coaching from two partners.
  • You can decide together with your coaching partner whether you’d like to book the hours as a block or spread them out over multiple meetings.
  • Unless otherwise specified, the topics and coaching partners will be determined in consultation with the program managers.
  • The number of spots for the coaching sessions is limited for each coaching partner. Once you have been accepted into the Second Stage, we will ask you for your preferences. However, the final decision on the allocation of coaching sessions rests with the program managers.
  • After you’ve been assigned your coaching partners and topics, the program management will connect you with them.

If you need to cancel a coaching session—for example, because you’ve fallen ill—please make sure to cancel as early as possible. The coaches have set aside time especially for you, and canceling in a timely manner will show your respect for their time.

Coaching assignments for the Second Stage

The process for assigning coaching sessions is as follows:

  • Think about which coaching topics and partners would be helpful for your plans in the Second Stage. Your application for the Second Stage should be the basis for your decisions. Keep in mind that coaching sessions on two different topics are planned for each project.
  • Send us at least three suggestions for coaching topics, each with a brief explanation of which partner you’d like to work with on the topic and why it would be useful for you. One or two sentences per topic are enough. If we don’t hear from you, we’ll assume that you trust our judgement.
  • To help the coaches prepare well for you and your projects, we’d like to share information about your plans for the Second Stage with them. We therefore ask you in advance to let us know if you consent to us forwarding your Second Stage application to the coaches selected for you. If you do not consent, please send us an alternative document describing your plans for the Second Stage, which we can forward instead.
  • Since we have a limited number of coaching sessions available with our partners, the final decision regarding the allocation of coaching topics and partners rests with the program management. We make this decision based on your Second Stage application and the jury’s feedback, our experience in supporting projects, the availability of coaching sessions, and, of course, your preferences.
  • We’ll get back to you after the deadline to share our decision and connect you with your coaches.

We’ll notify you of the deadlines for your input in advance via email. You’ll also find them in the calendar for your class.
