Vor Beginn der Förderzeit bekommt ihr einen dicken Umschlag mit dem Zuwendungsbescheid. Dieser gilt als eure offizielle Zusage für die Förderung.

Leider kommt dieser Umschlag manchmal zu spät (nach Beginn des Förderzeitraums) - in dem Fall machen ihr euch bitte keine Sorgen, wenn es ein Problem mit eurer Förderung geben sollte, hättet ihr schon diese Info bekommen. Die Förderphase beginnt dann ganz normal und der Bescheid kommt etwas später.

Bitte lest den Zuwendungsbescheid und bewahrt ihn auf. Da die vielen Seiten etwas unübersichtlich sein können, haben wir hier die wichtigsten Punkte zusammengetragen. Das Lesen dieser Seite ersetzt aber nicht das Lesen des Zuwendungsbescheides!

Seite 1: Key Facts

Hier findet ihr die wichtigsten Eckdaten zu eurer Förderung, unter anderem das Förderkennzeichen, das ihr für einige administrative Aufgaben benötigt. Es ist immer gut, wenn ihr es in euren Anschreiben an das DLR nennt. Eine genauere Kalkulation der Fördersumme findet ihr im Anhang "Gesamtvorkalkulation".

Seiten 2-7: Eure Förderung

Die Seiten 2-7 sind die wichtigsten im Zuwendungsbescheid. Dort befinden sich die wichtigsten Fakten und Regeln, die während und nach dem Förderzeitraum relevant sind:

• Die maximale Fördersumme, die ihr abrufen könnt (für Winterrunden auch wichtig: die Aufteilung der Fördersumme auf beide Jahre).
• Infos zum Thema "De-minimis"-Beihilfe, u.a. : Ihr müsst alle relevanten Unterlagen für mindestens drei (Steuer-) Jahre aufbewahren und die De-minimis-Bescheinigung für zehn Jahre, falls ihr weitere Förderungen bekommt, bei denen die "De-minimis"-Behilfe-Regel gilt.
• Zum Thema Veröffentlichungen:
  • Hier (Benutzernamen: "zuwendungs-info", Passwort: "bmbf2006") befinden sich die BMBF-Logos, die auf Veröffentlichungen (Webseiten bzw Github-Repos, Flyer, Banner, usw.) anzubringen sind.
  • Eure Projektwebsite mit dem BMBF-Logo muss an eure DLR-Ansprechpartner*innen zur Abnahme geschickt werden.
  • Wissenschaftliche Artikel, die aus der Förderung entstehen, müssen frei zugänglich sein (Open Access), oder zumindest nach einer Embargofrist von maximal 12 Monaten frei zugänglich gemacht werden.

NKBF 2017

Die "Nebenbestimmungen für Zuwendungen auf Kostenbasis des Bundesministeriums für Bildung und Forschung an gewerbliche Unternehmen für Forschungs- und Entwicklungsvorhaben" sind die allgemeinen Regeln für die Förderung im BMBF. Sie gelten für verschiedene Arten von Förderungen und passen nur teilweise zu der genauen Art der Förderung, die wir im Prototype Fund anbieten. Nehmt sie zur Kenntnis und wundert euch nicht, wenn nicht alles zum Förderbetrag, zum Zeitrahmen oder zur Struktur eurer Förderung passt.

Hinweise für Zahlungsempfänger

Am Ende des Zuwendungsbescheids findet ihr eine Dokumentation für die Zahlungsanforderungen. Hier findet ihr zusätzliche Tipps und wichtige Links.

Nach dem ersten Monat der Förderzeit organisieren wir einen Call, bei dem das DLR euch durch eine Zahlungnsanforderung führt und eure Fragen zum Thema beantwortet.

Before the beginning of the funding phase you will receive a thick envelope with the Zuwendungsbescheid (grant notification). This is your official approval of funding.

Unfortunately it can happen that this envelope arrives too late (after the beginning of the funding period). In this case, don’t worry: if there was an issue with your funding, you would have heard from the ministry already. In this case the funding phase starts normally and your grant notification will arrive later.

Please read your grant notification carefully and keep it. Since the many pages can be a bit confusing, we have summarized the most important points here. But reading this page does not replace reading the Zuwendungsbescheid!

Page 1: Key Facts

Here you find the most important key facts about your funding, among which the Förderkennzeichen (funding code) that you will need for some of the administrative steps. It is always good if you mention it when you communicate with the DLR.  You can find a more precise calculation of your funding amount in the annex “Gesamtvorkalkulation”.

Pages 2-7: Your funding

Pages 2-7 are the most important ones. There you can find the main facts and rules that are relevant during the funding time:

• The maximum amount of funding that you can receive (important for the winter rounds: how to split the amount across the two years).
• Info about the topic “De-minimis”-Beihilfe; among others you must keep all relevant documents for at least three (tax) years and the “De-minimis” certificate for ten years in case you receive other grants where the “De-minimis” rule applies.
• About publications:
  • Here (username: “zuwendungs-info”, password:”bmbf2006”) you can find the BMBF logos that you should include on your (websites, github repositories, banners, flyers, etc.)
  • Your project website with the BMBF logo must be sent to your DLR contact person for approval
  • Scientific articles based on the funded project must be freely accessible (open access), or at least made freely accessible after an embargo period of maximum 12 months.

NKBF 2017

The "Nebenbestimmungen für Zuwendungen auf Kostenbasis des Bundesministeriums für Bildung und Forschung an gewerbliche Unternehmen für Forschungs- und Entwicklungsvorhaben" (In English: "Supplementary Provisions for Grants on a Cost Basis from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research to Commercial Enterprises for Research and Development Projects") are all the general rules for BMBF funding. They apply to different types of grants and only partially match the exact type of funding we offer at Prototype Fund. Take note of them and don’t be surprised if not everything fits the amount, timeframe, or structure of your funding.

At the end of the grant notification you will find documentation for the payment requests. Here you will find additional tips and important links. After the first month of the funding period, we will organize a call where the DLR team will guide you through a Zahlungsanforderung (payment request) and answer your questions about the topic.
